about-us

Rainbow House is an independent provider of a range of services for children aged 0-8 and their families, initiated by local Women in 2001. It was originally set up as a Mothers and Toddlers group and since then has been registered to offer preschool sessions, crèche, mothers and toddlers sessions and after school and weekend classes for children. Rainbow House grew steadily to meet the needs of the children on our waiting list.

With all its sessions currently running at maximum capacity it sees over 100 children and parents benefiting from its services every week. It is working with Ofsted and Early Years to explore the possibilities of expanding to meet the needs of parents and reduce its waiting list. Its Ofsted reports highlights the quality of the services provided by its staff and the vibrant environment in which children learn and grow.

“Children enjoy their time at nursery. They arrive happy and confident and quickly settle into the routine making their own choices about their play. Younger children settle well and become familiar with their surroundings and the daily routine. Children are interested in activities and involved in their learning. Practitioners know children well and talk to them about their family and what they have been doing at home. This interaction, and the implementation of a successful key worker system, helps to secure relationships between children and staff developing a strong sense of trust.” (OFSTED REPORT May 2009)
